Main Room Stationary Draperies

A Naples Drapery Workroom, Built on Craftsmanship

For over 20 years, Inspiration Draperies & Design has been the local workroom behind beautiful windows across Naples and Southwest Florida. Our reputation was built one meticulously finished project at a time — and on the trust of the interior designers and homeowners who keep coming back.

Owner Liliana Arrieta spent more than a decade with one of Naples' premier drapery workrooms before founding ID&D, driven by a love of sewing and a belief that custom work should be done right, start to finish. Everything is handled in-house — we're a true drapery workroom, not a reseller. We measure, help you source fabric and hardware, sew every panel ourselves, and send our own team to install it. From first measurement to final steam, the same people stand behind the work.

Custom Window Treatments: Valances, Cornices & Roman Shades

The finishing touches that make a room feel complete — layered valances, structured cornices, and softly folding Roman shades, each tailored to your home's light, privacy, and style.

Valances

A timeless, elegant choice for any window. Valances dress the top of the window, softening the frame and adding a tailored, finished flair — beautiful layered over drapery, shades, or blinds.

Cornices

Structured, board-mounted treatments that cap the window with a clean architectural line. Built from wood and fabric to add polish and permanence to a room.

Roman Shades

Refined elegance in soft fabric that folds into smooth, even pleats. With endless fabric and lining options, Roman shades filter light, add privacy, or block sunlight entirely.

Lilliana does superb work. From beginning -to end the process was efficient. Work was completed on time and Carlos and Lilliana installed and steamed to perfection. Pricing was reasonable and she was very helpful in guiding me toward design and rod selection. I would not hesitate to recommend and /or use this business again! Very Pleased.

I recently moved to a new condo in Naples, and I only had a general idea of the fabric and style I wanted for our draperies. The team at Inspiration Draperies & Design took my idea and brought it to life, and it turned out even better than I imagined!

Lili and her team were so professional, patient, and creative throughout the process. The quality and craftsmanship are outstanding, and the finished look completely transformed our space. I could not be happier and highly recommend ID&D!

Window Treatment FAQs

1What window treatments work best for Naples' heat, humidity, and sun exposure?
After two decades of fitting homes along this coast, we've learned fabric choice matters more here than almost anywhere else — intense UV fades cheap material fast, and humidity can warp or mildew the wrong materials within a season. We favor fade-resistant weaves and proper linings, and lean on solar-oriented Roman shades in rooms that take the brunt of the afternoon sun. It's a fabric-first decision, not a style-first one, and that's the kind of call we walk you through at your consultation.
2What's the difference between drapery, valances, cornices, and Roman shades — which do I need?
Think of it in layers. Drapery does the heavy lifting — light control, privacy, the finished look of the room. Valances and cornices are the architectural finishing touch on top, adding structure without functioning as your primary treatment. Roman shades stand on their own as a cleaner, more tailored option when you want precise light control without the fullness of drapery. Most homes we work in end up using two or three of these together, and figuring out that mix is really the first thing we help with.
3How much do custom window treatments cost in Naples, FL?
The cost of custom window treatments varies depending on fabric, size, and design complexity. Most projects are tailored to the home, so pricing can range widely. We provide personalized consultations to give accurate estimates based on your space.
4How long does it take to design and install custom drapery or Roman shades?
Most custom drapery can take 2-3 weeks from design to installation, depending on fabric selection and complexity. We handle the entire process from consultation to final installation.
5What types of window treatments do you offer?
We specialize in custom drapery, along with valances and cornices that complement and enhance your windows. Each treatment is designed to fit seamlessly with your home’s interior.
6Do custom drapes help with heat and sunlight?
Yes, and it's one of the more underrated reasons to go custom. A properly lined drapery panel or a solar-oriented Roman shade can noticeably cut glare and heat gain on a west-facing room or an oversized slider — the kind of window most off-the-shelf products aren't even sized for. We've learned which fabric-and-lining combinations actually hold up to direct afternoon sun versus which just look good for a year.
7Do you offer in-home consultations across Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, and Marco Island?
Yes. We provide in-home consultations to assess your space, take precise measurements, and help you select the best window treatment options for your home.
8Can window treatments be customized to match my interior design?
Absolutely. Every project is fully customized, from fabric selection to hardware and style, ensuring your window treatments complement your home perfectly.
9Are custom window treatments worth it over ready-made options?
For most homes here, yes — and it's less about luxury than fit. A large share of the homes we measure have oversized sliders or non-standard window shapes that off-the-shelf curtains simply aren't cut for; you end up with something that technically covers the window but never sits or hangs right. Custom fixes that at the source because it's built to your exact measurements from day one.
10Do you provide fabric options, or can I bring my own fabric?
We bring a curated selection of designer fabrics to your in-home consultation if you need help with the fabric selection process. We will also happily work with you if you source your own fabric.
